Inspired by water, this lakefront community was once ranked as one of Canada’s top growing communities.
Residence who lived here in 1994 have watched the population soar from 1,400 to 14,000 in a period of just over 12 years. It’s no wonder as to why, with it’s proximity to Calgary’s core, and it’s own many amenities.

The lake itself is fed by water diverted from the Bow River. It is approximately 3 miles long and ½ mile wide. It brings this community together for several events throughout the year. But more than that, it provides a great way for people to become active and engaged on a daily basis. During the winter months it becomes host to kite surfing, ice fishing, snow mobiling , skating, snow shoeing and cross country skiing. Summer always welcomes, swimming, canoeing, fishing, boating, wake surfing, tubing, and water skiing.

Chestermere Lions Club Pumpkin Patch: Oct 15, 2011!

The Lions Club Pumpkin Patch event was a hit!  Neighbours, friends and families gathered to collect and carve pumpkins.  Hot dogs, hot chocolate and coffee were provided by the Lions Club.
